An alfresco-style wedding at a beautiful ranch surrounded by the mountains? Um, yes please! Emma and Matt’s beautiful day was engulfed in the natural beauty of High Star Ranch. The bride and groom exchanged vows in front of the recognizable “wedding tree” overlooking a beautiful pond on the property. The couple’s beloved bulldog and fur baby, Newman, almost stole the show as he made his way down the aisle and barked right on cue when the Emma and Matt were pronounced husband and wife (and we didn’t even practice that part in the rehearsal)!
The bridesmaids were a vision in a splash of soft colors ranging from lavenders and lilacs to moody blue hues. Florals were soft and natural, designed to compliment the organic beauty surrounding the space.
At cocktail hour, everyone enjoyed tasty farm-fresh appetizers, spritzers and signature cocktails. The kids entertained themselves with lawn games and the sounds of a blue grass band filled the air.
The reception design included a mix of vineyard tables and round tables covered in a soft textured linen. Brushed bronze chargers adorned tabletops wrapped with textured cream napkins. My favorite element- the hand painted menus backed by wood pieces, tied with twin and embellished with a fresh sprig of lavender.
Guests enjoyed a variety of fresh and local produce, most of which was grown right there in Kamas. I just love when my clients and their guests can enjoy an authentic Utah meal. Good stuff, my friends!
After dinner concluded, guests retreated to the dance barn where the sounds of live music accompanied with laughter and lots of toasts filled the air. The couple cut into a simple, textured buttercream cake decorated with lavender sprigs and for additional sweets, guest headed to the fire pits for s’mores and fun conversation.
