We are so excited to introduce MLE's 2017 intern team! Each year our interns help us to flawlessly execute each event and we are so excited for this year's team of talented individuals.
To kick-off wedding season and get better acquainted with our new team members, we invited everyone to the Grand America Hotel for a light brunch to hear from Michelle and the team, ask questions, and take a "behind-the-scenes" tour of how things work at the Grand America.
Everyone also got to take home a goodie bag filled with a notebook and pen (to keep track of everything they learn this summer), a cute metallic bag to keep everything in, Grand America's amazing french macarons, and more.
We can't wait to see these interns in action and what this year has in store for team MLE.
More about our internship program:
It's designed to better prepare individuals for the event-planning world and to equip future employees with the proper event design and management skills required to maintain the integrity of our brand and client experience.
Our goal is to provide opportunities to shadow event managers, work side-by-side with local vendors, experience real-life event problem solving, and ultimately see things from set-up to strike.
Interns work a minimum of two events per month for the duration of their internship. Internships typically require a four to six month commitment and the majority of our events are executed on Saturdays. Internships are unpaid, but college credit may be received by providing proper documentation from your university.
We promote paid positions from within the company and all team members are required to complete our internship program in order for us to determine your abilities and evaluate the strengths you will bring to the team. We invite students seeking internship college credit or anyone simply interested in learning more about the industry to participate in the internship program.
*All 2017 internship positions have been filled. MLE will begin accepting applications for the the 2018 season in November. Please check our website for more details at that time.
And a special thank you to Mallory, our intern supervisor, for organizing an incredibly talented team of energetic and capable individuals!
