Shauna joined the MLE team in 2013 after relocating from Portland where she worked at a premier wedding firm executing events throughout the northwest. She brings over 20 years of experience planning various types of events to MLE. With a vast knowledge of weddings and her ability to organize and pay strict attention to every detail, Shauna can handle just about any challenge this industry has to offer.  Her work with MLE has been featured in Martha Stewart Weddings including numerous blogs and the Utah bridal magazines. 

Drawn to color and design, Shauna became a certified interior decorator in 2001 and managed her own business until 2008.  She quickly developed a skill for pulling together colors, textures, fabrics and other crucial elements for creating elegant and stunning events.  Though she remained focused on both interior and wedding design, it wasn’t long before weddings dominated her time and she decided to take her career to the next level.

One of Shauna's most beloved aspects of event planning is tackling the everyday stressors on behalf of clients, allowing them to relax. Her main goal is helping clients enjoy the planning process and removing stress from their wedding day. Shauna's favorite wedding day moment is when the groom sees his bride for the first time. "There's a magical moment that happens when the groom catches that first glimpse of his bride in her gown ... I wish we could freeze that moment and re-live it on gloomy days. That moment is the pay-off for me, a reminder that I'm one of the lucky ones who truly loves my career."

Aside from magical moments, Shauna digs rainy days, homemade chocolate chip cookies, peppermint anything, getting lost in colorful fabrics at the craft store, and being a mom to her three girls.  Finding exquisite wrapping paper makes her happy beyond belief and just happens to be where she finds most of her design inspiration.  When she's not hunting down perfect fabrics or patterned paper, Shauna can be found playing sports and experiencing all the outdoor activities Utah has to offer.
