Are you a dependable, hardworking go-getter interested in learning how to design, plan, and execute fabulous events and weddings? If you answered yes, then Michelle Leo Events wants YOU!

We are looking for some great guys and gals interested in gaining hands-on experience in the wedding and event industry to join our team for our busiest (and probably our most incredible) season yet.

The program is designed to better prepare students and those new to the industry for the event-planning world. We also aim to equip future employees with the proper event design and management skills required to maintain the integrity of our brand and client experience. We invite anyone interested in learning more about the industry to participate in the internship program.

Internship hours are part-time and are primarily fulfilled on weekends. Our goal is to provide opportunities to shadow event managers, work side-by-side with local vendors, experience real-life event problem solving, and ultimately see things from set-up to strike. This hands-on experience allows us to offer a unique and invaluable learning experience.

Internships are unpaid, but students may receive college credit by providing proper documentation from your university.

So what are you waiting for?! Apply HERE. We can't wait to hear from you! Questions regarding the internship can be directed to mackenzie@michelleleoevents.com.

“Interning with MLE was the perfect way to start off my career in hospitality and event planning. Not only did I develop skills for executing weddings, but I also learned the importance of forming relationships with people I work with and tips for running an amazing business. I feel lucky to have witnessed some incredible events and worked alongside some powerhouse professionals. I experienced how to quickly problem solve, pay attention to detail, and provide the best in customer service. I learned that these three takeaways can make all the difference in how an event goes--not only for the client, but for the planning team as well!

My internship led me to complete an internship at the Montage in Maui during the 2018 holiday season. I was also promoted to a managerial position in my current job, and I now have a better idea of what I would like to pursue as a career. I also feel more confident in working with other professionals! I’m grateful for the people I met and the experiences I had. I left my internship with MLE inspired, enthused, and more prepared to move forward with my post-graduation goals.”

“When I interviewed for the MLE internship, I was hoping to have an experience that would help me get my foot in the door of the wedding industry here in Utah. Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity! I was blown away by the talented professionals I was able to work with within the various aspects of the wedding industry, which helped me articulate the parts of event planning/coordinating I love.

While I enjoy the organizational part of it -- like creating timelines and coordinating with vendors -- my passion is for event design. While I currently work as a corporate event manager and have fewer opportunities to be creative than I would in the wedding industry, Michelle Leo Events helped me realize that there are design aspects I can incorporate with corporate events. Items that seem simple -- like name tags, welcome signs, and the fold of a napkin can make a huge difference and are elements that add so much dimension to a corporate event.

Of all the experiences I had with the Michelle Leo Internship -- the most impactful things were being able to talk with Michelle and the other MLE planners about their own paths. It helped me affirm that I am in the right profession. There are so many directions I can take event planning, and working with MLE and other vendors helped open my eyes to the different paths I can and will take as I continue working in the event planning industry.”

-Kaushay Colvin

We are thrilled to share that Kaushay secured an event coordinator position at Thanksgiving Point upon the conclusion of her internship with MLE!
