With an eye for exceptional design, a passion for meaningful celebrations, and 17 years of experience in the luxury wedding and event industry, Michelle Leo Cousins has established herself as one of Utah's leading destination wedding designers.

As the founder and principal designer of Michelle Leo Events, Michelle is known for her refined aesthetic, thoughtful creativity, and ability to transform her clients' visions into extraordinary experiences. Her approach is rooted in the belief that truly exceptional design should never feel predictable or formulaic. Instead, every celebration should reflect the individuality, style, and personality of the people at its heart.

Michelle and her team have received national recognition from VOGUE, BRIDES, and Martha Stewart Weddings, with their work featured in publications including The New York Times, Grace Ormonde, Over the Moon, and Style Me Pretty. Michelle Leo Events is also a 20-time recipient of Utah's prestigious Best of State recognition.

Today, Michelle works closely with each client as their Event Designer, collaborating with a dedicated Executive Planner and Senior Planner throughout the planning process. While her planning team oversees the intricate logistics of each celebration, Michelle leads the creative vision, developing distinctive design concepts and thoughtfully curated environments that feel both elevated and deeply personal.

A Utah native, Michelle's appreciation for meaningful gatherings began long before she entered the event industry. Growing up in a small town, she developed a love for the connections created around family celebrations. Sunday afternoons spent enjoying her mother's cooking and her grandmother's homemade brownies remain cherished memories that continue to influence her perspective on hospitality and the importance of bringing people together.

Since founding Michelle Leo Events in 2010, Michelle has built a respected team of planning and production professionals and a reputation for creating extraordinary destination weddings throughout Utah's most celebrated venues. Her work combines creative ambition with a practical understanding of what it takes to execute sophisticated, large-scale events.
