Amanda & Jason’s Elegant Destination Wedding at St. Regis Deer Valley
If you’re dreaming of a destination wedding surrounded by mountain views, Amanda and Jason’s celebration at the luxurious St. Regis Deer Valley in Park City, Utah, is the perfect inspiration. With a soft pastel palette, lush florals, a clear-top tent reception, and a live band, their day was the ideal balance of sophistication, personalization, and nature’s beauty.
A Destination Wedding in Utah’s Scenic Mountains
Amanda and Jason brought their closest friends and family to Park City for a destination wedding experience that combined the beauty of Utah’s alpine setting with elevated design details. St. Regis Deer Valley offered the perfect venue for this vision—luxurious, picturesque, and easily accessible for their traveling guests.
An Outdoor Wedding Ceremony with a Swift Weather Pivot
Originally, Amanda and Jason planned to exchange vows on the St. Regis ceremony lawn, but Utah’s unpredictable mountain weather had other plans. When 30 MPH winds arrived on the wedding day, we quickly implemented our weather contingency plan: moving the ceremony under the hotel’s porte cochere.
Even with the location shift, the ceremony felt effortlessly elegant. Lush floral arrangements in soft pastel tones framed the couple beautifully, ensuring the setting still felt natural, romantic, and connected to the stunning outdoors.
Cocktail Hour on the Mountain Terrace with Custom Cocktails & Champagne Sabering
Following the heartfelt ceremony, guests were treated to cocktail hour on the stunning Mountain Terrace at St. Regis Deer Valley. Fortunately, the winds settled just in time, allowing everyone to enjoy the crisp mountain air and panoramic views of Park City’s scenic landscape.
Guests mingled while savoring a variety of delicious bites and sipping on custom-crafted cocktails designed specifically for Amanda and Jason’s celebration. To elevate the experience even further, the couple hosted a special champagne sabering—a lively and festive moment that kicked off the evening’s festivities in style.
The relaxed yet refined ambiance of the cocktail hour gave guests a perfect taste of the couple’s attention to detail and hospitality, setting the tone for the elegant reception to follow under the clear-top tent.
A Romantic Reception Under a Clear-Top Tent
As the sun set, guests made their way to the stunning reception space beneath a vinyl clear-top tent. This allowed everyone to dine and dance under the stars while remaining comfortable and cozy.
The tent was beautifully styled with white oak tables, cross-back chairs, and romantic drapery that softened the space. Candlelight flickered across the tables, which were adorned with soft pastel florals, layered textures, and elegant custom paper goods, including menus and escort cards that tied the design together.
At the heart of the tent was a custom vinyl dance floor—both a design statement and the perfect space for guests to gather and celebrate to the sounds of a live band.
Thoughtfully Curated Wedding Design Details
Amanda and Jason’s wedding design was a masterclass in how to elevate a mountain destination wedding with thoughtful, cohesive details.
Color Palette:
A soft pastel palette of blush, ivory, pale blue, and peach set a romantic and timeless tone, enhanced with fresh greenery for an organic touch.
Florals:
Lush, layered floral arrangements were featured throughout—from the ceremony and cocktail hour to the reception tablescapes. Varied heights and textures ensured the florals added dimension without overwhelming the space.
Tent Drapery & Textures:
Romantic drapery inside the clear-top tent added softness, while white oak details and natural linens provided a rustic yet refined texture to the overall design.
Custom Paper Goods:
Custom-designed paper details, including the invitation suite, menus, and escort cards, created a cohesive thread throughout the day’s events.
Custom Dance Floor:
The bespoke vinyl dance floor was both functional and beautiful, serving as the focal point of the tented space and inviting guests to dance the night away.
Live Band, Plated Dinner & Unforgettable Guest Experience
Amanda and Jason wanted their guests to feel immersed in a full experience, not just a wedding. A plated dinner service was carefully curated to delight guests, accompanied by the warm ambiance of candlelight and mountain views all around.
As the live band filled the tent with music, guests took to the dance floor, enjoying every moment of the thoughtfully planned evening. From the first toast to the final dance, the night was a seamless blend of luxury, personalization, and joyful celebration.
