A Timeless Destination Wedding at St. Regis Deer Valley | Liza & James

Liza and James' summer wedding at St. Regis Deer Valley was the perfect blend of romance, elegance, and personal touches. Hosted at one of Utah’s premier mountain resorts, this destination wedding brought together guests from across the country to celebrate in black-tie style amidst breathtaking alpine scenery.

Ceremony at St. Mary’s Church

The wedding day began with a traditional ceremony at the beautiful St. Mary's Church in Park City. The historic church, known for its soaring ceilings and mountain views, set a timeless tone for the day. Liza walked down the aisle in an elegant gown, with soft florals lining the pews to complement the ceremony’s fresh, summery color palette. Shades of soft blue, coral, blush pink, and sunny yellow added a cheerful, romantic vibe to the sacred setting.

Cocktail Hour on the Mountain

Following the ceremony, guests were transported up to the St. Regis Deer Valley, where a stylish cocktail hour awaited. Guests enjoyed signature drinks and light bites while soaking in sweeping views of the mountains. The cocktail hour design embraced natural elegance, featuring soft floral accents and sophisticated lounge spaces that carried the vibrant color palette through the evening.

The summer sun and mountain breeze created a perfect atmosphere for friends and family to mingle and celebrate before the festivities moved under the tent.

Reception Under a Clear Tent with Crystal Chandeliers

The reception took place under a stunning clear vinyl tent that blended seamlessly into the surrounding landscape. Romantic draping and crystal chandeliers added softness and glamour, creating an enchanting environment as the sun set behind the mountains.

At the center of the tent, the couple’s custom blue-and-white checked dance floor made a bold and playful statement, perfectly reflecting Liza and James’ fresh and joyful aesthetic. Nearby, a personalized bar featuring their custom monogram—beautifully covered in lush florals—became a standout design moment and a favorite gathering spot for guests throughout the night.

A lively live band kept the energy high and the dance floor packed, creating an unforgettable celebration under the stars.

Design Details

The design embraced a summer-inspired palette of soft blues, coral, blush pinks, and vibrant yellows. Elegant floral centerpieces brought the color story to life, featuring lush arrangements in a variety of heights to create visual interest. Guest tables were set with classic linens, subtle blue accents, and glowing candlelight, ensuring the look remained elevated yet welcoming.

Touches of personalization were woven throughout the design, from custom signage to specialty cocktails named after the couple’s favorite memories together.

A Surprise Custom Drone Show

One of the most unforgettable moments of the evening was a custom drone show — a surprise orchestrated for the guests. The show told the story of how Liza and James met and dated through college, bringing their journey to life in the night sky. It was a magical and deeply personal touch that left guests talking long after the night ended.

A Joyful Celebration in Deer Valley

Liza and James’ wedding at St. Regis Deer Valley was the perfect reflection of who they are as a couple—classic yet fun, elegant yet full of heart. From the ceremony at St. Mary's Church to the final song on the dance floor, every moment was thoughtfully planned to create an unforgettable experience for their guests.
