COVID-19 Precautions for Events

Hello friends,

I wanted to take a moment to personally address how Michelle Leo Events is taking preemptive measures regarding the current COVID-19 epidemic.

As an event planning company, we are definitely limited in what we can do. After all, we are in the business of events and gatherings! That said, while we are still moving forward with business as usual, we are encouraging certain precautionary steps for the sake of our team, clients, and their guests.

At this time, MLE suggests the following measures:

• Encourage elderly guests, anyone feeling ill with or without symptoms, and/or anyone who has been in contact with someone who has traveled to an infected area to not attend scheduled events.

• Encourage the washing of hands at events, especially before dining.

• Limit personal contact (hugs, handshakes, etc).

• Avoid family-style dining, buffets and grazing tables (opt for individual, plated services instead).

• Make sure the size of the dance floor/area is large enough that people can spread out without having to be in extremely close contact with one another (typically applies to weddings).

• Avoid traveling to infected countries and areas in general.

Michelle Leo Events is currently working with our contracted food providers to determine if they will have the ability to put hand sanitizer on all dining tables. With the shortage of sanitizer in retail facilities, we aren’t able to purchase bottles and provide them for events. However, our food providers can typically purchase sanitizer in bulk. Therefore, we have asked these vendors to check with their providers to determine if they are able to buy bottles for placement on individual dining tables at catered events.

I hope this helps! Keep washing those hands! ;)

Xo,
Michelle
