A Scenic Start: Rehearsal Dinner in the Tavern Meadow

Kate and Stuart welcomed their loved ones to Blue Sky’s picturesque Tavern Meadow for a rehearsal dinner that embraced the beauty and warmth of fall in Utah. Guests gathered under a Tidewater sailcloth tent, surrounded by mountain views and autumn’s golden hues. The tent design was filled with thoughtful details, from textured neutral linens and rattan chargers to rich amber glass goblets that cast a warm glow across the tables.

Artistic and Personal Details

Each place setting featured hand-painted watercolor menus and coordinating table numbers, blending artful touches with the couple’s personal style. Guests found their seats via a horseshoe escort card display—a creative nod to the western-chic spirit of the evening that doubled as a memorable keepsake.

Western-Chic Attire

Kate and Stuart fully embraced the western-chic aesthetic with ensembles that were equal parts sophisticated and playful. Kate wore a sleek strapless ivory gown paired with her custom white cowboy boots, embroidered with her initials, and later added a wide-brimmed hat for an effortlessly cool touch. Stuart complemented her look with a tan suit, black shirt, bolo tie, and felt hat that tied the look together. Guests joined in the fun with cowboy boots, jackets, and other stylish nods to the setting, striking the perfect balance between rustic charm and elevated fashion.

Guest Experiences that Delighted

This was more than just a dinner, it was an experience. Guests enjoyed interactive activities like axe throwing, which brought plenty of laughter and energy to the evening. Custom cocktails were served in playful boot-shaped glasses, adding a spirited western flair, while the crisp mountain air and surrounding fall colors created the perfect seasonal backdrop. An acoustic guitar player set the tone with music that matched the relaxed yet festive atmosphere. Dinner featured a western-inspired menu, complete with slider appetizers, hearty elk chops, and seasonal sides that gave guests a true taste of the mountains.

A Country-Chic Welcome Party at High West Distillery

Following the rehearsal dinner, the energy carried into the night at High West Distillery, located just down the road from the lodge. Here, the celebration shifted into a country-chic vibe with cozy western details layered into the design. Rattan textures, abundant fall florals, and flickering candlelight filled the sailcloth tent, offering guests a stylish yet relaxed setting to mingle and toast the weekend ahead. The amber tones of the florals echoed the season, while textured linens and warm wood accents elevated the aesthetic.
