Kate and Stuart's Elegant Fall Wedding at The Lodge at Blue Sky Auberge

Kate and Stuart celebrate their ceremony recessional with a petal toss at The Lodge at Blue Sky Auberge, surrounded by fall florals and mountain views

Kate and Stuart welcomed guests to The Lodge at Blue Sky for a late-September destination celebration that blended mountain serenity with elevated design. A soft autumnal palette—blush, creams, peach, sage, olive, soft yellows, merlot, and burnt sienna—set the tone. Personal touches were everywhere, including their beloved pup Suzy as flower girl in a custom dress crafted from the same lace as the bride’s gown. From the open-air meadow ceremony to a twinkle-lit dinner and a packed dance floor, the day felt intimate, intentional, and beautifully them.

Getting Ready at The Lodge

Staying on property at The Lodge at Blue Sky made the morning calm and seamless. Hair and makeup were completed onsite while our team coordinated the timeline with the photographer, who captured the invitation suite, rings, and other personal details. In sunlit suites with mountain views, final touch-ups and gown/attire styling felt unhurried and elegant. A favorite moment: Suzy’s petite flower-girl dress—crafted from the same lace as the bride’s—steamed and ready, a sweet preview of the heartfelt details to come.

A First Look with a View

Before the ceremony began, Kate and Stuart shared an intimate first look on the deck of the Sporting Yurt, joined by their beloved flower girl, Suzy. With sweeping views of the mountains and canyons dressed in autumn hues, the moment was both breathtaking and heartfelt. The quiet setting offered a chance to savor their excitement together before the arrival of family and friends, setting the tone for the joy and meaning that carried through the rest of the day.

Ceremony: 180-Degree Mountain Views at Sporting Yurt Meadow

Framed by the sweeping hills of Sporting Yurt Meadow, the ceremony embraced the very best of fall in Utah—crisp air, golden light, and panoramic mountain views. Garden-forward florals in whisper-soft autumnal hues lined the aisle with gentle movement, echoing the breeze across the meadow. Thoughtful program design and delicate ribboning kept the look polished without distracting from the landscape. Suzy’s proud walk down the aisle set a joyful tone, and with vows spoken beneath the open sky, the moment felt both majestic and deeply personal.

As the ceremony concluded, Kate and Stuart shared their first kiss as husband and wife while guests showered them with flower petals. The joy and energy of the moment radiated across the meadow, with friends and family cheering as the couple walked back down the aisle together. It was the perfect celebratory transition into cocktail hour, setting the tone for an evening filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Cocktail Hour: Al Fresco on the Arena Patio

Guests transitioned to the arena patio for an outdoor cocktail hour designed for mingling and mountain watching. Seasonal sips and passed hors d’oeuvres were paired with petite floral accents in blush, peach, and olive, soft linen textures, and candlelit vignettes. High-top clusters and relaxed lounge groupings encouraged easy conversation as the sun dipped lower and the hills shifted to amber and gold.

Reception: Twinkle-Lit Arena Dinner with Live Band

At dusk, guests retreated inside the arena for a plated dinner at long, floral-laden tables beneath a ceiling of twinkle lights. Candlelight amplified the glow, and heartfelt toasts punctuated each course. When the live band took the stage, the dance floor filled quickly and stayed full—an easy shift from cozy dinner to high-energy celebration. The atmosphere was equal parts refined and exuberant, a perfect reflection of Kate and Stuart and a beautiful finale to a mountain wedding weekend.
