Last week, Team MLE headed to San Antonio, Texas to execute a Monet-inspired, water-color dream of a wedding! We had so much fun and wanted to share a bit of our behind-the-scenes experience with you today. The Texas heat, humidity, and hospitality welcomed Team MLE to San Antonio this past weekend for one incredible out-of-state wedding. Originally a brewery built in 1894, the hotel embraced its history through the inclusion of old brew tanks and distillery machinery in its decor, and as I would come to discover, just like the bride (Adva) and groom (Bart), it was bursting with unique, yet classic, character.

From the bride's gorgeous strapless gown to the hundreds of fresh blooms and the mountain backdrop, Anne and Mike's Summer Sundance wedding was absolutely breathtaking. This wedding was classic, timeless, romantic, and so much fun, which is why it will be one of our favorites for a very long time.

We’ve all seen the movie with the groomsmen who get out of control at the bachelor party – you know the one we’re talking about, but did you know that there is more to being a groomsmen than throwing a bachelor party and standing next to the groom during the ceremony while looking your best? Being asked to be a part of this special moment in the couple’s life is an honor and should be treated as such. Remember, this is not just a one day event. Being a groomsmen means supporting the couple throughout the engagement. Every wedding and couple is unique, but the following information covers the most common responsibilities and expenses one should anticipate when asked to be a best man or groomsmen.

Here at Michelle Leo Events, we can’t think of anything more intimate than a garden style wedding. If you’re a bride with a style of her own but still love some of the traditional elements, this garden style wedding is for you. With non-traditional elements such as the “Heart’s Desire” dress by Claire Pettibone and traditional elements such as the gold accented china, this summer wedding has it all.

We were so surprised when Luxury Travel Guide reached out to us a few months ago notifying us that we were on the shortlist for their wedding specialist award. So you can imagine our excitement when we found out that Michelle Leo Events has been named Luxury Travel Guide's 2017 Wedding Specialist of the Year!!

An alfresco-style wedding at a beautiful ranch surrounded by the mountains? Um, yes please! Emma and Matt’s beautiful day was engulfed in the natural beauty of High Star Ranch. The bride and groom exchanged vows in front of the recognizable “wedding tree” overlooking a beautiful pond on the property. The couple’s beloved bulldog and fur baby, Newman, almost stole the show as he made his way down the aisle and barked right on cue when the Emma and Matt were pronounced husband and wife (and we didn’t even practice that part in the rehearsal)!

Gina & Tucker traded in the hill in Washington DC, where they both work, for the mountains of Utah for their destination wedding. Empire Lodge at Deer Valley provided the perfect backdrop for this couple to say "I do." A mix of round and gray-washed wood tables made for a beautiful layout. Each place setting was made up of a brushed bronze charger, blush satin napkin, custom menu, and a fresh sprig of greens for a simple, classic, and elegant look. Gina and Tucker’s guests danced the night away until it was time for the sparkler send off. 

Ellie and Ryan's backyard summer wedding was elegant and relaxing in all the right ways. Featuring berry hues with pops of sparkle, we loved the rich color palette combined with the lush greenery on this gorgeous private property. Guests enjoyed a variety of berry inspired drinks and desserts, while lounging in the family's garden to the sounds of live music.

Anna and Adam's sweet summer wedding, featured in the 2016 Utah Valley Bride Magazine, was a timeless affair with a fun and colorful twist. The bride wore an Anne Barge wedding dress with the perfect peter pan collar, paired with the most gorgeous red Valentino heels, while the groom wore a classic black tux and a bow tie. Anna's inspiration came from her paper suite that was a combination of her favorite summer colors: vibrant red and yellow, with hints of blush pink and aqua blue.

With hundreds of fresh blooms and touches of blush pink, Georgina and Kris' garden style wedding is what we imagine every little girl dreams of. We loved the personalized touches found in the gold ampersand and fresh florals on the back of the bride and groom's chairs, the vintage doors behind the cake, and the giant L-O-V-E marquee letters. This wedding was perfect in every way and will always be one of our favorites. 

Congratulations! You're engaged and now, it's time to select your bride tribe! Having a difficult time deciding who and how to ask? Or perhaps you've already asked your favorite gal pals to stand by your side, but you're not really sure what their roles and responsibilities traditionally include. Well then, you're in luck because in this Wedding Guild Series post, MLE addresses the purpose and importance of the long-time, traditional role of the bridesmaid, who to ask and how to ask her to stand by your side, and what her responsibilities include after she says yes (because she's going to say yes).

Janesa and Kyson's summer wedding was exactly what fairytales are made of. This blush and gold wedding was fit for a princess. This couple's cream and gold four-tier wedding cake was a total showstopper with Cinderella's Castle as the inspiration for the topper since the groom popped the question in front of the castle at Disneyland (too cute, right?!). Guests took home with them blush and gold French macarons that were as pretty as they were delicious and the couple ended the evening with an amazing sparkler exit. 

We are so excited to introduce MLE's 2017 intern team! Each year our interns help us to flawlessly execute each event and we are so excited for this year's team of talented individuals. To kick-off wedding season and get better acquainted with our new team members, we invited everyone to the Grand America Hotel for a light brunch to hear from Michelle and the team, ask questions, and take a "behind-the-scenes" tour of how things work at the Grand America. We can't wait to see these interns in action and what this year has in store for team MLE. 

Last week Michelle Leo Events was recognized as 2017's BEST EVENT PLANNER! We are absolutely honored to have been named "best of state" for seven consecutive yearsand look forward to another year of creating extraordinary events in our beautiful state of Utah and beyond. 

Kristen and James' summer wedding was wonderfully simple and elegant. After saying "I Do" at the beautiful St. Mary's church in Park City, everyone made their way to the Montage for dinner and dancing with a breathtaking view.  Guests enjoyed a delicious meal and danced into the night to the sounds of an amazing live band. It was a superb summer day if you ask us.

Tori and Tom's Silver Lake Lodge wedding, held in beautiful Park City, Utah, was everything you want in a mountain wedding. The navy blue, shades of pink, and gold accents served as the perfect color palette among the surrounding, lush green mountains. The rustic elegance of this wedding is exactly what we love about executing events in the mountains. 

Carly and Kevin's Sundance wedding was the epitome of Spring. With a color palette of ivory, blush pink, peach, and celadon green with bright pops of color in the form of poppies and ranunculus, this wedding is every bride's dream. Guests ended the night on the dance floor under a sea of bistro lighting to the sounds of an incredible live band. 

Sarah and Logan's wedding at The Grand America was elegant, timeless, and absolutely perfect for Spring. The room was filled with fresh, garden-style Spring blooms and soft candlelight, creating a romantic ambiance. After enjoying a buffet that was as beautiful as it was delicious, everyone finished the night on the dance floor.  

Featured in the March 2017 issue of Bridal Guide Magazine, Kara Leigh and Tyler Alden’s mountaintop wedding, held at a private residence in White Pine Canyon, was one of MLE’s personal favorites. This boho-chic wedding displayed an ethereal color palette in a variety of foggy-blue hues. An unforgettable highlight was the bride and groom’s grand exit as Tyler drove his motorcycle out of the house and down a porte-cochere lined by guests waving a sea full of sparklers.
